I had Lloyd Kaufman tell me at NYCC not to buy his DVD’s but to watch them on youtube first to see if I like them. Don’t waste your money he said. Awesome guy. Hoping you can convince Oan to join you for a review of Combat Shock as I’ve heard you wish to do. It’s Taxi Driver meets Eraserhead, how is not BHH material?
Did I hear correctly? Did Josh Hadley admit he was wrong about something? Well if that isn’t a sign of the coming apocalypse I don’t know what is
Finally got the chance to listen to this earlier today. Which I didn’t expect, anyway, since it seemed like it would never come. I’m glad that this impression was wrong!
Also, I think I can elaborate on some of the toy-related things.
The Aliens line with all the crazy variations was made by Kenner. You can easily find many of those things on Ebay for cheap prices.
And there is a reason why stuff like McFarlane’s figures are nominally sold as action figures and not as statuettes even when they are barely articulated and fragile as hell: In the USA, toys fall under a different, much more convenient tax class.
