I would love to possible interview you for something stateside. Email me at the email that I left. I would love for more people to catch your show.
An interview? Id be happy to talk however you’d like.
You could contact me on Facebook if you want. Are you able to click on the my profile and bring up my page. I work for a Midwest LGBT online magazine and I would love to talk to you about how it is to be an internet celebrity and if you get shit from people when you say that you are a lesbian. Things of that nature. Why does it seem there are not more of us, or you can enlighten me to more LGBT internet celebrities that aren’t porn stars. 😀
Sorry to hijack this thread. Mike, I’ve now heard Keane on the radio twice over the past two days at work. Took it as a sign that I should say hello, but your 708 number seems to have changed. Get in touch if you still have my number.
I would like to think that stand up is just more than one picture put together. It makes slightly more sense if you don’t think about it too hard. After 3 of these reviews I am really considering making myself an Adam Adamant Halloween costume.
omg, the awful kitsuke! not to mention the wigs or the Caucasians, but the kimono of several characters is worn backwards, the same way one would dress a corpse!
On the upside, they did get the Victorian attitude toward geisha correct. At the turn of the century, Madame Sadayakko was touring the west, and many in Japan were embarassed to have a woman of the flower and willow world so publicly representing their culture. Also, Victorians didn’t know the difference between geisha and oiran (prostitutes.) The okaasan here who’s talking about selling her into sexual slavery also clearly reflects the attitudes of the West in the 60’s about the “true nature” of the profession.
The henchmen are wearing Chinese jackets.
Sorry to go on a rant, but this episode hit my nerd button.
I simply adore this review series, Hagan!
Right. How was i able to assemble that in a photo lab when it was impossible for me to do so in that time. It is actually a life size poster of me that Ms. Jones had in her room. She is a fan after all. Did I mention I eventually gave her a room in the mansion? I gave up being surprised that she was going to be a part of the adventures and just gave her a room. As it turns out her apartment was torn down and they built a U.N.I.T headquarters there. I just found an ingenious way to get rid of it. How did she make it?
