Aw, you don’t have to pretend – We KNOW that you hate every single one of us! And everyone else.
Well, this review series certainly goes into breaktime on a high note. Largely in that the writers of that AA episode must have been high. Sometimes, I wonder if that was really supposed to be a kids’ show, but it is way too naive for an adults oh wait I just realized how many shows for adults are fucking dumb.
Anyway, really fun review as always. At least two -big- laughs from me, but I didn’t count, so it might have been more. Giggles/Chuckles were plentiful. And I like that you said “bluescreen”, as was used back then, not “greenscreen”, as one would use now.
Awesome review Hagan! I would never have found this great show if it hadn’t been for you! Regarding the issues with reviewing Episode 9; I happen to have a copy of the DVDs of the series and I also happen to be a native of Northern Ireland. I could easily post you my DVDs if you wanna check to see if the issues with pulling episode 9 from the DVDs is a systemic thing or not.
Keep up the awesome work!
Heyas. Id happily accept your offer to check your version. Have you skype?
Glad you liked the review and i’m delighted you found a copy because of them!
I also found a copy of ‘The Dragon Lives Again!’ thanks to you but we won’t go into that. 😉
Unfortunately I still live in the 20th century and therefore do not have Skype, Thankfully though I am with it enough to communicate via e-mail:
Write me some time and we’ll make the necessary arrangements to get you reviewing episode 9! 😀
Love these reviews, so much so that I’ve just bought the boxset off Amazon marketplace. Not sure which version you have, but theres a Dutch release of this set which has special features not present on the UK release…
There’s a 52 minute documentary, commentary on the first episode and a 5 minute restored scene. Got it for just under a tenner from the marketplace, and could be a possible solution to the episode 9 problem if it only effects the UK set.
sounds like the extras on the uk edition (which also has a lovely booklet about the series… though 64 pages might be more of a book than a let)
its def a possibility!
Nice, just… nice. Half the stuff in this video is banned in the fetish clubs I’ve been to. Especially the murder.
Looks like I’m not the only one who’s tempted to get the series after watching these; it also lead me to create a character based on Adam Adamant for an upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade campaign. Am I the only one who thinks this show is what the World of Darkness would have been like if it were published in the 1960s?
Oooo, yeah, The Prsioner theme music.
While reviewing something genuinely good (lets not be kidding, Khoso aside, The Prisoner is awesome), I, and many other late comers to the Prisoner experience would appreciate you reviewing/doing a video on that gem. Especially since your usual fanbase and Prisoner dont really overlap, and thus you could get a lot of coverage on both sides.
Its actually on my list for possible ep-by-ep reviews!
