Demons Reviews episode 2 ‘The Whole Enchilada’

Hagan takes an episode by episode look at ITVs Demons. Its not quite as bad as Bonekickers… usually.

  1. It’s a little sad when the demons and other supernatural creatures are the plot element that is least likely to break suspension of disbelief in comparison to all the concentrated stupid and not-making-sense.

Great work in tearing that thing to shreds! I love the Parapa gag.

  2. Loving these reviews. The opening in the cemetery physically hurt me & it didn’t get any better from there D:

  3. now i’m wondering if aleister would be as devoted to this show as buffy fans are to buffy…

  4. “The Piltdown Man of accents”… oh, that’s brilliant. It describes it so perfectly.

  5. I must say, this is waaay less entertaining than Bonekickers. Its just not as bad, and you seem to drudge through them, not nitpick it to pieces like you did with that show. I know that I’m basically asking you to torture yourself for my aamusement, but still, a bit more freakout, please:)

  6. Wasn’t Glenister talking about a different Van Helsing in that scene, not Abraham?

    • If I remember right he just said Van Helsing. Maybe I jumped to conclusions but after all the rest of their shit its hard not to.

  7. Oh, wow. You pronounced New Orleans correctly!

  8. Believe me, Diamanda, you’d like Philip Glenister a HELL of a lot more in Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes (aka, the only great, let alone good bit of television that Matthew Graham has ever created! Think of them as a weird mystery mixed with a cool retro 70’s/80’s cop show, including the kind of soundtrack that Brad Jones would have in one of his films! haha!)

  9. Ugh…This is more like a deadman’s version of Buffy. Also I agree Richard Wilson would be way better demon hunter then the cast.

  10. The Angels of Mons were mentioned by a PTSD soldier in a Doctor Who audio drama (No Mans Land) but since it wasn’t integral to the episode a future return to them could still be done. I just hope it’s something more imaginative than the Weeping Angels fucking with history again, although it would be cool so see them contrasting with a WWI battlefield.

  11. Talking about buffy, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0386120/ This guy Joey Hiott’s been in Buffy, SUper jesus and XTan Cowboy’s Christmas with Kai MUrphy – of Sterling Silver by my friend Keith L Hall’s friend Brian K Palmer
