I need to relisten the 20th Century Vampire. Oh nice Thoth tarot deck.
I cracked up at the Technocracy reference, and I loved the general WoD references. Are you going to cover Kindred the Embraced sometime? It’s the sort of crap that’s right up your alley I think.
Honestly Id like Omega to Bonekickers that. She’s the WoD expert. I know bits and pieces. I couldn’t do it justice.
I’d love to see Omega go all “Bonekickers” on that show! People talking about something they are interested in is almost always very interesting.
But she better act fast before that sneaky Maven of the Eventide clams reviewer dibs 😉
Great review as always.
I have to say, I actually liked this movie…It’s been a favorite of mine since it first came out (and this was on VHS!).
Sure, it plays fast an *very* loose with vampire mythology as well as logic, and rips off WoD BIG TIME, but that’s part of the appeal to me! As far as low-budget vampire flicks go, it ranks high on my list.
Call it a guilty pleasure that I feel NO guilt whatsoever about!
Excellent review indeed!
Unlike the movie in review, there’s great writing and fun performances all around.
And I just can’t wait to see where the storyline is going!
This looks like a great double feature with Cradle of Fear, using the word great loosely here. Also any review with a Mean Machine Angel joke is always a good thing. Now to convince Michael Rooker to do it for the Dredd sequel we had better get or else.
Like I’ve said before, after a few centuries one has to choose between some pretty involved games or becoming a furry to keep the sex interesting.
also, DAMMIT THEY STOLE MY IDEA!!!!! no not really, but I did write a short with an ending very similar to this.
Back in the day, I always used to see the box for this at my local video store. Never actually rented it, though in hindsight that surprises me as it seems like the kind of bad movie my mother and I would’ve watched together, lol.
Anyway, good review.
