Its the Christian, young-Earth Creationist version of Star Treks made for kids. Its as brilliant as you’d expect. Episode 1: The Mission.

  1. So, I thought that ship looked familiar, so I dug around, and sho’nuff: it’s a 3rd party asset sold on the Daz 3D store. Basically a digital GI Joe/Barbie toy for people to use with their Poser/Daz characters.

So yeah: the one competent thing in the entire show isn’t even their own work, or even designed or made for them. Anyone can buy the same model to use for their own art or productions. All they did was awkwardly slap their ship’s logo onto the texture map.

Go to Daz 3D and search the store for “Vanguard” (not sure if posting a link would get this comment flag for spam). It might be on some other similar vendors (like Renderosity) as well, but I haven’t checked.

Amusing trivia at the least, but maybe your CG title card guy could do something interesting with it.

  2. Well this is certainly…something. I feel like I’ve seen that spaceship before…
